Row of water meters of cold and hot water.

13 – 14 November 2019, CETIAT, Villeurbanne, France

The project

EMPIR project ‘Metrology for real-world domestic water metering’ (17IND13, MetroWaMet) is working to assess domestic water meters under realistic conditions in order to validate and improve the accuracy of water consumption measurements.

In doing so, this should ensure consumers’ trust in measurement correctness and consumption billing.

The workshop

Research related to the project will be presented at a workshop on dynamic measurement and calibration methods for liquid flow meters, with a focus on water meters.

The workshop will present:

  • A review of existing dynamic measurement methods and facilities (gravimetric, volumetric, using master meters)
  • A review of methods and facilities under development
  • A discussion around common trends, difficulties and needs for industry

Proposals for presentations are welcome. Please contact florestan.ogheard@cetiat.fr

The workshop will be of interest to people from NMIs and DIs, academia and industry.
