Mathematical and statistical methods for metrology workshop
30 – 31 May 2019, INRIM, Torino, Italy
Recognising the increasing need for ad hoc and innovative mathematical and statistical tools for current and emerging metrological applications, the workshop Mathematical and statistical methods for metrology (MSMM 2019) is to be held in Torino, Italy in May 2019. The workshop will present recent developments in mathematics and statistics applied to measurement.
EMPIR project <link research-innovation search-research-projects details>‘Advancing measurement uncertainty – comprehensive examples for key international standards’ (17NRM05, EMUE) is developing examples of measurement uncertainty evaluation for a variety of application areas including cancer treatment dosimetry and illegal substance testing in sports. By enabling practitioners to ‘learn by example’, the project will contribute to the application of improved uncertainty evaluation, benefiting decision making in many areas of science and industry.
The project consortium will present progress to date, future plans and informative examples at MSMM 2019 in a specific session devoted to the EMPIR project.
