In order to ensure the safety and sustainability of food from production and processing through to retail, it is essential to have robust and accurate measurement methods as well as reference materials whose properties can be traced back to established standards.
The European Metrology Network (EMN) for Safe and Sustainable Food plays a pivotal role in connecting legislation, food control, and industry with the research and stakeholder communities by serving as a central nucleus for measurement science activities.
