Strategic Research Agenda
The European Commission has identified advanced manufacturing as one of six key enabling technologies, which drive innovation throughout the economy and cut across industries with a trend towards full convergence and integration. They underpin European leadership across industrial value chains such as the automotive and industrial robotics and have the capacity to improve people’s well-being and safety, address challenges of climate change and support sustainable economic growth.
To support innovation in advanced manufacturing, EURAMET has established the European Metrology Network for Advanced Manufacturing, that is a central point of measurement science expertise in Europe and tackles cutting-edge challenges.
To guide current and future metrological research activities in the field of metrology for advanced manufacturing, the network has developed a Strategic Research Agenda (SRA) in close collaboration with its stakeholders. The SRA addresses needs in identified metrology research areas that drive innovation in advanced manufacturing in Europe.
Feedback is welcome and might be considered in a future revised version of the SRA.
