Intercomparison of measurement standards for diagnostic X-ray qualities

Indirect intercomparison of primary air kerma standards by means of circulation of an instrument with a flat energy response.

The purpose of the intercomparison is to test the implementation of a set of radiation qualities that has an experimental status at the moment.

The radiation qualities used for the intercomparison will be adopted from the International Standard IEC 1267.

The circulating instrument will be evaluated for mammographic qualities (unattenuated and attenuated beam for 28 kV) and for conventional diagnostic qualities (nominal high voltages 50, 70, 90, 120 and 150 kV, again both unattenuated and attenuated beams).
