Project Description

The project will compare primary calibrations of LS1P and LS2P microphones according to IEC 1094-2.

There is considerable interest in participating in such an intercomparison. To ease the burden on the coordinating laboratories and ensure that the work is completed in a reasonable time, the measurements will be conducted in four circuits as described on the attached sheet.

Potential participants are invited to contact the proposer with details of:

which microphones they would calibrate (LS1, LS2 or both),
the frequency range they would use, and
any periods when they would not be able to calibrate the microphones,

so that a project plan can be prepared before 31/3/97.

It is expected that the project could be agreed at the next Acoustics Euromet meeting in May 97.

The first exchange of microphones could also take place then.
