Technical Committee for Mass and Related Quantities
The measurement of mass is probably the most commonly made measurement for trade, industry and scientific research purposes. These measurement areas support a wide range of industries including power generation, oil and gas, aerospace and automotive, healthcare and pharmaceutical. Areas such as small mass and low force have impact in bio- and nano-technology, micro-fabrication and medicine.
The Technical Committee of Mass and Related Quantities (TC-M) is concerned with measurement issues in technical areas including:
- Mass
- Pressure
- Force
- Torque
- Hardness
- Density
- Viscosity
- Gravimetry
- Dynamic Mechanical Measurements
TC Chair

Zoltan Zelenka, BEV (Austria)
Subcommittees and Convenors
Density and Viscosity | Andreia Furtado, IPQ (Portugal) |
Force | Rolf Kumme, PTB (Germany) |
Pressure | Wladimir Sabuga, PTB (Germany) |
Mass | Stuart Davidson, NPL (United Kingdom) |
