Technical Committee for Flow

The Technical Committee for Flow (TC-Flow) supports industry, regulation and trade by coordinating and further developing the measurement of fluid quantity and related measurements derived from it (e.g. energy). The measurement of fluid quantities includes all fluids and mixtures of fluids. The primary areas of interest are:

  • Measurement and definition of static volume
  • Measurement of quantities of water
  • Measurement of quantities of hydrocarbon liquids
  • Measurement of quantities of high pressure gas
  • Measurement of quantities of low pressure gas
  • Air (Wind) and water velocity
  • Measurement at Micro and Nano scale
  • Properties of fluids

Additionally the measurements of related quantities such as density, viscosity and calorific value are in the scope of the TC as they are parameters to either define the quantity measurement or combine with it to provide the required measurement quantity.
