Hardware and measurement methods for quantum power

The aim of this work package is to pave the way for a smooth adaptation of existing power standards with Programmable Josephson Voltage Standards (PJVS).

The aim of this work package is to pave the way for a smooth adaptation of existing power standards with Programmable Josephson Voltage Standards (PJVS). Task 1.1 will review existing PJVS systems. New developments from the above-mentioned European research projects, in particular 14RPT01 ACQ-PRO, 15RPT04 TracePQM and SIB59 Q-WAVE, may be considered for an individual and optimum adaptation of the quantum standard to the power calibration system for each NMI. In Task 1.2. PTB will support project partners in selecting the best adaptation for which proper synchronisation (between the source of PJVS, sampler and multiplexer) can be achieved. Such devices are not commercially available and will be developed by INTI in Task 1.3. Then, the new multiplexers will be constructed by several partners and integrated into existing PJVSs to create Quantum Power measurement Standards. Finally, In Task 1.4, new measurement methods for power quality quantities will be developed, appropriate for adopting the PJVS as traceability.
