Study on electrolytic conductivity measurements of bioethanol

Project Description

Results of primary and secondary electrolytic conductivity measurements of bioethanol will be compared with respect to stability, comparability (traceability) and compatibilty. Sample preparation, storage and handling during the measurement is crucial for the study. Therefore a measurement protocol will be prepared by INRiM and discussed by the participants. Then, PTB will accordingly prepare samples of bioethanol and send them to the participants for the measurements. Additionally, synthetical ethanol will be sent around by PTB and measured for comparison with the bioethanol results. The study is a preliminary work for a subsequent comparison.

The study is related to the EMRP Project "Metrology for Biofuels".
