Datafiles for pressure reciprocity calibrations

Project Description

The project concerns testing of software used for pressure reciprocity calibration of laboratory standard microphones. The main task of the project is to develop a number of representative datafiles covering all measuring situations, ie different measuring methods, different couplers and the variation of microphone parameters observed in practice. The corresponding 'true' sensitivities of the fictive microphones involved are calculated and compared to the results obtained when parts of the calculation programme are disabled (omitting the capillary tubes, heat conduction correction etc). No experimental work is involved and the development of datafiles will be based upon existing real measurement data.

The number of datafiles, the layout and content will be discussed by the participants.
The coordinator will develop the datafiles whiche are then tested and accepted by the partners. A final report will contain a complete description of the calculation procedure and all information necessary to utilize the datafiles.

Final Report 2004-05-06

A set of measurement datafiles have been developed, processed and verified by the participants using their own independently developed calculation program.

A final report (DPLA, Report PL13a, 2004) has been completed and agreed by the participants together with an Excel-file containing the data.
