World's first CMC for Liquid Flow Speed published

The world's first set of Calibration and Measurement Capabilities (CMC) in the field of Liquid Flow Speed was published by the JCRB (Joint Committee of the Regional Metrology Organizations and the BIPM).

The CMC "EURAMET.M.34.2013" was declared by Switzerland (METAS) via EURAMET and was published in the Key Comparison Database (KCDB) of BIPM on  8 August 2013.

The revision process started in April 2013 with the participation and comments from AFRIMETS and APMP. "This CMC is a very important achievement for EURAMET", comments TC Flow Chair Elsa Batista.

The hydrometric calibration facility of METAS is working since 1992.
It undertakes the calibration of measuring instruments used to determine water flow velocity, e.g. hydrometric mechanical current meters, magneto-inductive current meters and acoustic Doppler current meters.
