World Health Day 2020

World Health Day 2020 & The International Year of the Nurse and Midwife

Today, 7 April 2020, marks World Health Day – an annual day that stands as a reminder of the World Health Organisation’s (WHO) central objective to achieve universally available healthcare for all.

This year, World Health Day will be internationally observed with a spotlight focus on the role of nurses and midwives, where the uncertainty around health at present has only further highlighted the unparalleled importance of our global healthcare systems.

In the measurement science community, metrology institutes play a vital role in supporting the provision of safe and reliable health services around the world.

EURAMET continues to inspire the European measurement science community to collaboratively develop innovative metrology solutions for global healthcare challenges, supporting the WHO’s vision for high-quality, universally available healthcare for all.

To learn more about the contributions of the European metrology community to measurements for health, visit our new World Health Day webpage.
