Solidarity with Ukraine

EURAMET would like to express its solidarity with Ukraine and all the people affected by Russia’s acts of aggression.
EURAMET is deeply concerned about the situation and its consequences for Ukraine and its citizens.
Our thoughts are with the people in Ukraine, with the refugees and with our colleagues of Ukraine’s National Metrology Institute NSC, the Designated Institutes and their families.
Consequently, our position is to suspend or terminate projects and activities with participation of Russia and Belarus under EURAMET.
Activities with other members of COOMET, the Euro-Asian Cooperation of National Metrological Institutions, and EURAMET’s neighbouring Regional Metrology Organisation (RMO), will continue if the partners wish to do so. In addition, EURAMET is preparing to offer RMO support to those COOMET members that need help in dealing with the consequences of this war.
EURAMET is built on international collaboration, in the spirit of tolerance and solidarity, and based on democratic principles. For decades, these core values and joint aspirations have been bringing together scientists and stakeholders from all over the world, for the benefit of societies.
We believe the spirit of cooperation will prevail and we hope that peace will be restored quickly.
