EURAMET participants at prestigious events

The international metrological agenda over the coming weeks is filled with important events - all with considerable contribution from EURAMET and its members. Examples include the FLOMEKO and TEMPMEKO conferences and the International Congress of Metrology.

FLOMEKO – International Flow measurement Conference
The 16th FLOMEKO conference will take place at the Crowne Plaza Hotel, Place de la République in Paris on 24 to 26 September 2013.

Participants from over 25 countries will contribute to sessions in theoretical principles of flow measurement metrology and practical applications in industries, including energy, aeronautics, chemicals, healthcare and the environment.

More than 20 presentations will be given by EURAMET members. Topics include EMRP projects such as “Metrology for drug delivery” and “Metrology for Liquefied Natural Gas”

International Congress of Metrology

From 7 to 10 October 2013 Paris will host the International Congress of Metrology. EURAMET is a co-sponsor of the event, which offers the opportunity to understand the latest technical developments in measurement, explore industrial challenges and develop solutions that will enhance innovation and performance.

EURAMET participants play a vital role in 180 presentations and poster sessions, displaying the results from a huge variety of EMRP projects.

TEMPMEKO – Symposium on Temperature and Thermal Measurements in Industry and Science
TEMPMEKO is organised by the Portuguese Society of Metrology and the Portuguese Network of Accredited Laboratories Association, and has the support of IMEKO TC12 and IPQ – the Portuguese National Metrology Institute. The conference will take place at the Congress Centre of Vidamar Resorts in Funchal, on the Island of Madeira, from 14 to 18 October 2013.

More than 200 of the 400 presented papers will come from EURAMET participants. At the symposium, the results from a variety of EMRP projects will be presented, including “European metrology for earth observation and climate”, “High temperature metrology for industrial applications” and “Implementing the New Kelvin”.
