63 EMPIR projects to present at International Metrology Congress, CIM 2021

7 – 9 September 2021, Lyon France and also online
Over 1000 participants from 45 countries are expected to attend the 2021 International Metrology Congress, where 63 EMPIR projects will be showcasing their work through oral presentations and posters.
Offering a unique opportunity for showcasing advances in industry and R&D across the spectrum of the European measurement science community, the congress aims to build on participants’ shared knowledge of measurements, analysis and testing processes across 3 main applications this year - Industry 4.0, the Green Deal and health. Around 200 technical presentations at round table sessions will cover cutting-edge research milestones in fields such as mechanics, electromagnetism and photonics, as well as AI, data and quantum technologies.
EMPIR oral presentations will be given in the following areas:
- Thermal measurements: what’s new?
- Flow measurements: latest innovations
- Thermal measurements: industrial applications
- Gas metrology
- Metrology at nanoscale
- Metrology and standards in a digital future
- New electricity leap
- Green deal challenges for chemistry
- Data frameworks in metrology
- Mechanical quantities
- Metrology for medical use
- Evaluation of uncertainty: fundamentals and applications
- Quantum
- Quantum technologies
- Photonics developments
Recordings of all sessions will be available until December 2021.
Also, at the conference, EMPIR project Metrology for nanowire energy harvesting devices (19ENG05, NANOWIRES) will be holding a stakeholder meeting.
EMPIR projects are co-funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the EMPIR Participating States.
