Save the date: workshop on new procedures for radon monitoring

The project
EMPIR project <link research-innovation search-research-projects details>‘Metrology for radon monitoring’ (16ENV10, MetroRADON) is working to provide traceable measurement and new calibration procedures for the monitoring of radon. This will enable regulators to meet new requirements for public exposure to radon.
Improvements in the reliability of radon measurements resulting from the project will provide a better basis for the development of effective strategies to mitigate and prevent the serious health effects of this pollutant.
The workshop
Results from the project, including new standards and calibration facilities for radon, will be presented at this scientific workshop.
Results from the technical work packages, follow up, research topics and further work will be discussed.

Those from industry, academia, regulatory bodies and scientific sectors with an interest in metrology for radon monitoring.
This EMPIR project is co-funded by the European Union's Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme and the EMPIR Participating States.
