EURAMET Expert Meeting on DC and Quantum Metrology
Joint meeting with 'Final Dissemination Meeting' of EMPIR project QuADC;
NPL Teddington UK, 20 – 21 May 2019
The meeting
<link publications-media-centre events detail>EURAMET Expert Meeting on DC and Quantum Metrology is open to experts at National Measurement Institutes and other institutions worldwide. The meeting will mainly consist of technical talks and posters of the participants, but intercomparisons and other EURAMET activities, including EMPIR projects, will be on the agenda. The meeting will provide an excellent opportunity to meet with experts in the field of DC and quantum metrology.
The end of the meeting will be devoted to results of the EMPIR project <link research-innovation search-research-projects details>‘Waveform metrology based on spectrally pure Josephson voltages’ (15SIB04, QuADC).
The project
EMPIR project <link research-innovation search-research-projects details>‘Waveform metrology based on spectrally pure Josephson voltages’ (15SIB04, QuADC), currently nearing its conclusion, aims to develop reliable and easy to use AC voltage measurement systems that can be traced to the standard SI volt. These measurement systems will allow a range of industrial end-users to develop previously unachievable processes and products that rely on fast analogue-to-digital conversion, such as power quality monitors, which provide support to the smart grids of the future.
Final results from the project will be presented at this final stakeholder meeting.
Outline agenda
Monday, 20 May:
11:00 – 12:00 NPL laboratory visits
