EURAMET Newsletter Issue 14 now available
2018 has been the year of the SI redefinition, bringing excitement and attention to the measurement science community - which many of Europe's measurement community have contributed to, not least through EMRP and EMPIR projects.
Alongside this, EURAMET and its members and partners have also been busy at all kinds of events, growing links, and of course doing metrology research. This year especially, these activities have demonstrated one of EURAMETs most fundamental principles - collaboration and cooperation. 2018 has seen the implementation of the European Metrology Networks (EMNs), structures which will help to ensure Europe continues to provide world-leading metrology capabilities by promoting and facilitating cooperation across NMIs, DIs, industry, and all important stakeholders.
It was also the one year anniversary of WELMEC moving its secretariat to EURAMET, which has strengthened the collaboration of the key European organisations leading the legal and scientific measurement communities. The relationship between EURAMET and COOMET was also built on this year, with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the two.
Of course, those are just a few highlights. It has been fantastic to see all the incredible things EURAMET has achieved together with its members and partners over the year - we hope you enjoy reading about some of them in our yearly round-up newsletter issue 14 >>
