International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) conference
11 – 16 May 2019, Montreal, Canada
The project
EMPIR project <link research-innovation search-research-projects details>Innovative measurements for improved diagnosis and management of neurodegenerative diseases (15HLT04, NeuroMet) is developing non-invasive techniques for early diagnosis and monitoring of the progression of diseases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s. The research is exploring innovative techniques for early diagnosis and monitoring, based on non-invasive magnetic resonance imaging approaches. It is developing improved clinical assessment protocols focused on monitoring declining motor and cognitive functions and increasing behavioural, communicative and psychological symptoms.
The conference
Preliminary results were presented at the major 2018 ISMRM conference in Paris, and it is intended that additional results from the project will be presented at the 2019 ISMRM 27th Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine is a professional association dedicated to promoting communication, research, development and application of magnetic resonance techniques in medicine and biology.
