Metrology Congress: Measure to Create the Future

The 18th International Metrology Congress (CIM) will be held in Paris, France, from 19 to 21 September 2017. The congress is organsied along the lines of 'Measure to Create the Future' and will focus on topics around R&D and best practices for measurement in industry.

Participants are expected from various fields such as end-users of measurement technology in industry and laboratories, quality managers, manufacturers of measuring equipment, distributors and researchers.

In round table sessions experts will talk about topics such as drone-based inspection and monitoring, declaration of conformity and evolution of ISO 17025 - ‘General requirements for the competence of testing and calibration laboratories’, dynamic measurements and factories of the future. In addition, metrology for innovation in pharmaceutical industry and measurements for water quality will be discussed.

Numerous presentations are planned for the three day event. They will be given on topics such as uncertainties, calibration, mass, flow, optics, temperature, dynamic measures, additive manufacturing, data metrology, smart grids, nanotechnology and many more.

EURAMET will attend the congress with a stand promoting the association and the metrology research programmes.
