International Workshop on Metrology Needs for Climate and Ocean Observation

12 - 13 February 2020

A workshop hosted by the European Metrology Network for Climate and Ocean Observation will be held at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL), Teddington, UK from 12 to 13 February 2020. This workshop will prioritise activities and associated resources for metrological research to support needs identified by the community, building on the results of a survey that will be launched in late September 2019.

Survey and workshop
The final quarter of 2019 and the first quarter of 2020 will be used to create an initial prioritised list of stakeholder needs. A survey will identify potential areas for improved services and collaborative research between observational experts and metrologists; this survey will be made available in late September 2019 and will be open until December 2019. The ‘long-list’ of stakeholder needs will be made available in early January 2020 and will be the basis of a workshop held at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, UK, on 12 - 13 February.

To ensure that you are made aware of the survey and to find out more about the workshop, please register for our newsletter list at: www.euramet.org/climate-ocean. For further information please contact us at ClimOcNet@euramet.org.

Who should participate?
The workshop is aimed at those making or using observations of the atmosphere, land or ocean, using in situ and remote sensing techniques.
