Application of Machine Learning and Data Analytics for the Factory of the Future

22 September 2021, 13.00 – 16:00 CEST (12:00 – 15:00 BST)

The pan-European EMPIR project Metrology for the Factory of the Future (17IND12, Met4FoF) has been developing calibration methods for advanced, digital-only industrial sensors including those with internal pre-processing capabilities.

The project is also focussing on defining and establishing a measurement infrastructure with concomitant software to monitor measurement uncertainty, quality and data, as well as to synchronise data flows in sensor networks. The particular outcome will help NMI facilities to become digital ready, and enable European factories of the future to become competitive with their global counterparts.

The event

This online event will present the characteristics of the Strathclyde Radial Forge and ZEMA testbeds, the data acquisition process, the development of machine learning and data analytics algorithms, and the results of the analysis.
