EURAMET has established a new ‘BoD Working Group for Capacity Building’ to strengthen and reorganise the role and position of the previous Focus Group on Facilitating National Metrology Infrastructure Development.

EURAMET@CIM 2015
To increase EURAMET’s visibility on international level, a number of EURAMET representatives took part in this year’s International Metrology Congress in Paris in September. Objectives of EURAMET’s participation in the exhibition next to the congress were the presentation of EURAMET services, introduction to EMPIR and the general promotion of EURAMET to stakeholders. Numerous visitors took the opportunity to liaise with EURAMET and to learn more about the organisation.

Preparing for EMPIR Energy 2016 Call - Networking Meeting
On Monday 30 November 2015, a free one-day partnering event in preparation for the 2016 EMPIR Energy Call is being co-organised by the EURAMET Task Group for Energy and the Centre for Carbon Measurement at the National Physical Laboratory (NPL, UK).

Workshop on Metrology for Environment
The European Metrology Programme for Research and Innovation (EMPIR) will launch a call for joint research projects (JRPs) in 2016 on the topic environment. The call will focus on research for robust and stable measurement for monitoring climate and research for innovative new systems and technologies that precisely assess environmental impacts.
EURAMET’s Task Group for Environment will facilitate a workshop on Metrology for Environment.

Delivering Impact in JRPs – Sharing best practice
Delivering impact for end users is a key feature of the Joint Research Projects (JRP) supported by EURAMET’s European Metrology Research Programmes (EMRP and EMPIR). To support project partners in this task the EURAMET Management Support Unit is running a workshop focused on sharing best practice on delivering impact among the JRP community.
