Booklet on 30 years of collaboration in European metrology published

One of the highlights in EURAMET's anniversary year is the publication of the anniversary booklet '30 years of collaboration in European metrology'. It is now available for download on EURAMET's website.

Collaboration between CIE and EURAMET intensified

At the beginning of May, the International Commission on Illumination (CIE) and EURAMET signed a Memorandum of Understanding to intensify the existing cooperation. Both organisations have a strategic goal to support scientific advancement and technological innovation in the areas of measurement and standardisation.

Successful EURAMET General Assembly in Spain

From the 15 to 19 May 2017 Europe’s measurement community met to discuss future developments of the organisation. EURAMET’s 11th General Assembly (GA) took place in Spain and was hosted by CEM, the Spanish NMI. In addition to the GA several other meetings took place such as the Research Council, the EMPIR Committee, a workshop for TC chairs and a symposium. The symposium, devoted to EURAMET’s 30th anniversary, was one of the highlights from the week and included contributions from former Chairpersons of EURAMET and its predecessor EUROMET.

Leader in global lighting market takes over development of LED measuring device

EMRP project engages with CIE through uptake of new CIE standard and final stakeholder workshop. To facilitate uptake of the new standard, EMRP project 'Metrology for efficient and safe innovative lighting' (ENG62 MESail) developed a prototype, LED-based calibration source.

Solving the siloxane measurement problem

EMPIR project demonstrates benefits of traceable on-line measurement of siloxanes in industrial biogas. The project 'Field trial of traceable online measurements of siloxanes in landfill gases' has tested an innovative online instrument, developed by a manufacturer in the UK.
