Advanced Mathematical and Computational Tools in Metrology and Testing XII POSTPONED

Date: 2020-09-15 to 2020-09-17
Location: Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina

On 15-17 September 2020, the International Measurement Confederation (IMEKO) and EURAMET’s Technical Committee 21 (TC 21) will be holding a conference in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

This international conference - on ‘Advanced Mathematical and Computational Tools in Metrology and Testing XII’ - has been organised by the National Physical Laboratory (NPL) and the National Metrology Institute of Bosnia and Herzegovina (IMBiH). Two members of EURAMET’s European Metrology Network for Mathematics and Statistics (EMN MATHMET) have also contributed to planning this event.

IMEKO is a non-governmental federation comprised of several individual member organisations that are all working to advance measurement technologies. EURAMET’s Technical Committee 21 is focused on developing mathematical tools for measurements. Together, IMEKO and TC 21 work to promote the harmonisation and coordinated development of new mathematical and statistical measurement tools.

The upcoming event is the 12th conference in the Advanced Mathematical and Computational Tools in Metrology and Testing (AMCTM) series. Past conference presentations have formed the basis of 11 volumes on AMCTM, published by World Scientific.

The conference aims to provide a forum for discussing modelling, statistical and computational demands in metrology and industry. It also will enable attendees from multiple disciplines to come together and collaborate on the development of new measurement and testing tools, and support for young metrology researchers.

In general, the conference will cover the themes of mathematical and statistical modelling, data analysis and uncertainty quantification, and algorithms & computational methods for metrology. There will be an opportunity to organise special sessions dedicated to specific topics at this event, to attend plenary sessions featuring selected contributions, and present posters to other attendees.

Please note that several key deadlines have been updated:

  • For proposals on special session topics, the deadline is now 16 March
  • The deadline for a decision on special session topic proposals is
    23 March
  • Abstracts for contributed talks must be submitted by 30 March
  • The decision on abstract reviews for contributed talks is still 27 April
