Driven by EU legislation on renewable energy (2009/28/EC) and by the ratification of the Paris Agreement, which aims at a zero-carbon economy, renewable energy gas sources are gradually entering Europe's marketplace.
The European Metrology Network (EMN) for Energy Gases aims to become the central nucleus covering metrological needs raised by the diversification of energy sources, facilitating an efficient and safe energy transition, ensuring quality and securing robust trade.
The EMN for Energy Gases has a new survey for stakeholders across the energy gases industry, which provides an opportunity to contribute their perspective on measurement challenges and needs for the future of energy gases.
Stakeholders can help to identify new measurement services and products that they feel needed to be offered by European measurement institutes through the Energy Gases network.
Survey responses will feed into the EMNs initial tasks, including a strategic research agenda, which will then be used by the EMN to develop a harmonised and sustainable European measurement infrastructure to catalyse the energy transition.

The survey will be open until Thursday, 30 April 2020.
