Researcher wins prize for best contribution

Raul Garcia-Diez, PhD Student of the Working Group 7.11 X-ray Radiometry of PTB, was awarded for the best oral contribution in the SRPS 6 conference in Madrid, September 2015

Junior researcher from EMPIR project (14IND12 Innanopart) receives prize for best contribution presented at SRPS

Raul Garcia-Diez from PTB has received the prize for the best contribution presented by a junior researcher at the 6th International Conference on Synchrotron Radiation in Polymer Science (SRPS 6) in Madrid for his work on continuous contrast variation for the characterization of nanoparticles using SAXS, which forms the basis of the accurate number concentration measurement developed within EMPIR project Metrology for innovative nanoparticles.

This underlines the aim of the project in providing industry with techniques and methods for the measurement of nanoparticle number concentration and surface chemistry. This will support trade in high-performance nanoparticles for advanced technologies and the competitiveness of European nanotechnology industries will be strengthened.
