The Calibration Measurement Capability (CMC) lists prepared by European NMIs are subject to peer review by experts within EURAMET followed by review in other regions. Fully accepted CMCs are published on the KCDB web site.
An outline of this CMC procedure, written by the JCRB, is available, which has links to several documents on the JCRB server.

Within EURAMET, the workload for the review is very high as the are over 30 EURAMET NMIs, each submitting an average of 20 to 30 entries for their Length CMCs. The various subject areas of the TCL CMCs are allocated to a set of nominated 'experts' for the detailed review. Each expert is normally the pilot of an international comparison for that specific technical area. A list of primary and secondary (backup) EURAMET Experts has been dawn up for the most important entries of the 'DimVIM' - the subject classification index.
The CMC lists are subject to ongoing review, based on the results from key and supplementary comparisons. Whenever there is a discrepant result in a comparison, this is highlighted in the Final Report. The pilot discusses corrective actions with the participant and reviews progress on the corrective actions when the pilot prepares the Executive Report on the comparison, approximately 6 months after the Final is prepared.
Any items not resolved at the time of publication of the Executive Report are entered into the CMC Actions list, which is visible to EURAMET TC-Length contact persons and guests.
